Stepping into this quaint small bar in Maylands was like being transported to a charming bar in Paris, very European in style and brimming with warmth and energy. Swallow Bar in Maylands had been on my list for a while and I wish I had visited sooner.

Cosy charm meets neighbourhood bar in Bassendean

To be honest, I hadn’t heard that much about the relatively new Cork and Bottle in Bassendean but when it came to planning a long overdue catch up with a good friend and she suggested we check it out I was looking forward to it. These days I mostly find myself out and about in the city due to the close proximity of work and home but I really love venturing out and trying small neighbourhood bars and restaurants because they just keep getting better and better. The Cork and Bottle is no exception and comes with oodles of charm.

Threecoins Italian Trattoria

After a week of being sick and really needing to get out of the house but feeling the need for some real comfort food in a relaxed setting, I had just the place in mind. Threecoins in Mt Lawley had been on my list since I had heard about the restaurant and in particular, their pasta, made fresh daily, in house.
